Tarrangower Village is an eighteen cottage independent living retirement village with a community room.

We have fifteen one bedroom units and three two bedroom units, each with a bathroom/laundry, a living room and a kitchen.  All units are fitted with carpets and have modern fittings including a split system air conditioning unit.

The one bedroom units are located at 4 Chapel Street South and are set in an open garden landscape; there is an individual small garden space at the front of each cottage which is the resident’s responsibility. Residents of the one bedroom units pay a non-refundable fee to occupy a unit and pay a monthly maintenance fee. The occupancy fee is reviewed every two years in May.
The Village is responsible for Local Council and Water Rates and residents pay their own power costs.

The two bedroom units are located at 9 Chapel Street South and are managed under a Deferred Management Fee model. The resident actually purchases a lease of the unit. When the resident leaves the unit they, or their Estate, have the right to sell the lease. There is a strict formula of deductions that apply to the selling price and the amount that gets passed on to the Village.
